The big news:

We are expecting Jakob Schneider to be running a workshop in Perth and Melbourne in August of next year. Jakob was one of the trainers at the International Intensive in Germany. He is widely regarded as on of the most experienced and skilful practitioners of family constellations and has been working in the area for 20 years.

In November Peter van Zuilekom and Otteline Lamet will be running workshops in Perth, Melbourne and possibly New Zealand. Pieter and Otteline are also highly regarded and experienced practitioners. They have been much appreciated in their previous visits to Australia when they have been brought out here by the GTA (Gestalt Therapy Australia).

There are now a number of Australian & New Zealand practitioners running workshops in Melbourne, Perth, Byron Bay, Gympie and Auckland. Many new workshops will be displayed on the events page >>

Western Australia

Annie Wearne continues to do a marvelous job developing the work in Perth, organizing workshops with Chris & Libby as well as Thomas Falke, Jakob Schnieder and Peiter van Zuilekom & Otteline Lamet. On top of that she also coordinates a regular study group in Perth, where people can be introduced to the work and develop their skills These meetings are on the last Friday of the month at 203 Park St Subiaco, from on 12.30-1.30pm . Please phone Annie Wearne if you would like lunch ($5) and do not usually attend. There are about a dozen regular members of this group, supporting each other in applying constellation principles and practice their own work.

The ConstellationFlow website has a new looking home page and has developed quite a few new features since the last e-letter. almost one year ago. They include a chat group, practitioner database, and Spanish pages as well as new and updated articles. This activity reflects a high level of activity in the Constellation world in general, which is presented in the News section of this newsletter, So enjoy your read. New Articles: Comic Teaching Tales of Mulla Nasrudin These comic tales have a hidden meaning that help us transcend our everyday limitations in our thinking. This is a follow up article to The Legend of Nasrudin This article shows how, hundreds of years ago, the Sufis recognised the difficulties negotiating between the extremes of overly skeptical thinking and magical thinking. This is a challenge that is highlighted in constellation work. Two independent book reviews that were published in the Australian New Zealand Journal of Family Therapy by Ingeborg Stiefel are now on the web site: There is an updated article preparing for constellation workshop. Family Constellation - A Therapy Beyond Words The ANZJFT (Australian & New Zealand Journal of Family Therapy) recently published an article on Family Constellations. This page has links and other information in Spanish Constellation Talk This is a chat group for practitioners and interested others. It has been operational since January of this year. There is a link to a sign up page for this group on the home page of Constellation Flow. Register here > This is not a real time chat group. When someone sends an e-mail to the group it goes out to everyone who subscribes to the group. Then people can choose to respond to the group in their own time. There are currently over 60 people in the group. Over 30 of these people would have contributed at one time or another. I assume the rest are just enjoying the conversation. We are fortunate in having experienced international practitioners as members of this group. They include: Judith Hemming, who initially brought constellation work here to Australia through the GTA Peter & Otteline vanZuilekom who have also been brought to ANZ by the GTA Jakob Schneider,who is widely regarded as one of the most skilful and elegant practitioners of this work Bertold Ulsamer who wrote the wonderful book "The Art & Practice of Family Constellations". Constellation work is continuing to grow worldwide. Over 2500 participants were at the World Congress on Constellations work held in Germany in April this year. Fourteen Australasians Completed 2003 International Training in Germany 13 Aussies & 1 Kiwi have recently braved SARS, international terrorism, & worst of all, 40 hours of flying for the privilege of attending the international training in Zist, Bavaria - AND IT WAS WORTH IT!! Experienced practitioners are already reporting that their constellation work has developed considerably as a result of this training. Apart from wonderful spring weather the learning was wonderful as was the convivial ambience. I am told that we from Down Under really left our mark. Probably one of the most spectacular way this happened was when Jake taught a large room of people from all over the world to do the Haka - simply awesome! Men Doing the Haka in Zist And of course we now have the advantage of having a group of people who have considerably expanded their training in the work.
