Ancestral Acknowledgement
In running this training in Australia we acknowledge the indigenous Aboriginal people who have cared for this land since time immemorial. We also acknowledge the ancestors of those of us who were displaced to this strange and marvellous land as well as the difficult, often tragic and sometimes noble interactions between these groups of people. All this helped create the consciousness of the people of this land upon which this training will be held.
Overview
We will use lectures workshops and experiential groups in this training. There will be plenty of opportunity to socialise, have fun and enjoy the famous Australian hospitality at this event.
This training will be modeled on the international training intensive held annually in Germany. It will provide a clear orientation to the principles that support the natural order and flow of love in families as well as experiential training. It will delve deeper into the phenomenological method and understanding of family systems. Issues addressed will include:
- Unexplained sadness, grief, anger and shame
- Addictions and other destructive behaviors
- Relationship failures and confusion (with parents, siblings, partners or children)
- Navigating second marriages and blended relationships
- Depression and unhappiness
- Business failures and money problems
- Illness and chronic health problems
- Organizational confusion
- Loss of direction and purpose
- Repeated accidents
- How to belong without giving up your creativity
As well as dealing with the usual issues that come up in constellations, this training will be particularly sensitive to issues specific to the Asian Pacific region such as immigration, issues arising out of WWII in this region, as well as other more local conflicts such as the partition of India and relationship with indigenous cultures. We will encourage awareness of transcultural issues: e.g. how adoption is often done in a different way in Asian versus European cultures and therefore has different systemic effects.
This training also offers the opportunity for exposure to 6 top level trainers within one week without the extra costs of expensive airfares to Europe and extra loss of income due to time lost in travel and recovery from jet lag. (usually at least 4 days)
People will arrive for the training on Tuesday January 18 2011
The farewell ceremony will be early afternoon of Monday January 24
This intensive workshop provides an opportunity to learn the approach to working with family constellations originated by Bert Hellinger and to experience first-hand the further developments in the field. It aims to help participants understand the hidden systemic orders of love operating in human relationship systems, and the powerful resolutions to conflict that this understanding can make possible. It is organized to meet the needs of persons from differing cultures, and with various levels of experience. The course language is English.
There will be plenty of opportunity to socialise and have fun and enjoy the famous Australian hospitality at this event.
Eligibility
This workshop is intended for members of the helping professions such as psychotherapists, counselors, clergy, community workers, teachers and organisational consultants. It is the responsibility of each participant to limit the application of this approach to those clients and situations for which he or she has the appropriate qualifications. This workshop does not qualify participants to practice psychotherapy, and the certificate which will be issued is a certificate of participation only.

There will be a barbeque one evening and an opportunity to participate in the constellation follies another evening. The rest of the evenings will be kept free for participants to socialise as they see fit.

The intensive payment includes lunch, morning and afternoon tea. We expect the food to be high quality with vegetarian options.
