To register an event in Australia or New Zealand a practitioner can click here Practitioner Listing: The criteria for being listed as a practitioner on this page has been made more transparent and consistent. Firstly practitioners must be running workshops in either Australia or New Zealand. Secondly they need to meet some basic criteria that demonstrate a minimal commitment to their own training: These requirements are less stringent than those of IAG, reflecting the relative youth of the work in Australia and New Zealand. Like the IAG, we are not trying to establish universal criteria for all practitioners of Family Constellations as developed by Bert Hellinger nor to exercise control over Family Constellation work beyond inclusion on the ConstellationFlow website. We explicitly affirm the right of anyone to work with the approach developed by Bert Hellinger according to his or her competence and within his or her personal responsibility. The purpose of these requirements is twofold. Firstly, they act as an encouragement to practitioners to actively engage in their own professional development in constellation work. Secondly, they help the public to have a little more confidence in the events and practitioners they find listed on the ConstellationFlow website. To be listed on ConstellationFlow as a practitioner who practices in Australia or New Zealand click here. |

World News Constellation Work continues to grow and develop around the world, with national Conferences now organised in Britain and USA as well as the international congress in Germany. Details of all these events can mow be found at the International Special Events page of the ConstellationFlow website. Unfortunately the 2005 International Intensive Training in Zist Germany had to be cancelled do to organisational difficulties. On his web page, Hunter Beaumont has indicated he will be organising one at a new location in May 2006. However there will be an International Training Intensive in Santa Barbara, California USA immediately after the US national conference in October. The first international training in organisational constellations occurred in the Netherlands in October this year. Apparently it was a great success. The growth of the work described in Australia below reflects the growth in many countries around the globe. It is delightful to be able to refer a friend to a workshop in Chile or China for example. Links to international and foreign language internet sites can be found on the ConstellationFlow links page. Ongoing controversies about Bert Hellinger in Germany are causing concern for many. Apparently much of the press there has become quite hostile toward him. It is quite difficult for auslanders (German for outsiders) to understand what is really going on. Some of the allegations - such as him being a Nazi sympathiser - are obviously ludicrous misinterpretations of his compassion for all, which includes perpetrators. Still, most people including Bert, seem to be able to courageously continue with the work without being too distracted. Meanwhile, despite being almost 80 years old Bert continues to run workshops around the world and in Germany, and according to all reports, he is still sharp enough to teach all of us a thing or two. So far there are no indications of him deciding to rest on his laurels and take up an elder statesman role. In the last newsletter I reported that Bubula Lardi was going to the International Intensive Training in Zist in Germany in April of this year. Also with her was David Mathes from Melbourne, Johanna Reeve-Alexander from Perth, Preeti Helena from Queensland, as well as Angelika Chisholm from New Zealand. All of these practitioners are listed on our practitioner's page. The First International Training in Organisational Constellations occurred in the Netherlands in October. Two Australians attended: Preeti Helena from Queensland and Lutz Pamberger from Perth. Johanna Reeve-Alexander has posted another Australian constellation website called Soul Movements. David Ward and Jan Martinengo have made contact with Care Leavers Australia Network(CLAN) trying to ascertain if Hellinger's constellation work could be of use to them. CLAN is a support and advocacy group for people brought up in care away from their family as state wards or Home children raised in Children's Homes, orphanages or other institutions, or in foster care. Between 1920 and 1980, about 500,000 children were involved, including Aboriginal children who were not only removed from their families but also from their culture as part of the Government policy of assimilation. The Melbourne peer supervision group, called Constellation Peers, has continued to meet on a monthly basis at the Bouverie Family Therapy centre in Flemington. Other Interesting Information On The Internet: Angelika Schenk has translated two talks given by Bert Hellinger. They include information about his new ideas: movements of the spirit and practical philosophy. They can be found at her website at: Daniel Booth Cohen has also has a talk by Hellinger about perpetrators and victims on his relatively new website at http://www.hiddensolution.com/peace.php The official Hellinger website has posted a much more detailed biography of Bert Hellinger. This is useful contextual information to have given that Hellinger has become such a controversial figure in Germany of late.New Book Peace Begins in the Soul Perhaps Bert Hellinger's farthest-reaching book to date, Peace Begins in the Soul explores connections between fostering reconciliation within the individual soul, within the family soul, and then beyond. Hellinger's now well-known family constellations shed new light on conflicts between cultures and among religions. Chapter Headings are: What Is the Meaning of Peace? ▪ The Greeks and the Germans ▪ The Armenians and the Turks – Christianity and Islam ▪ Russia and Germany ▪ Lecture in Moscow ▪ Japan and the USA ▪ Reconciliation in the Soul ▪ The Suffering of Chinese Woman ▪ Basis of Family Constellations ▪ Spain and the New World ▪ The Incas ▪ Civil War in Colombia ▪ Violence in the Dominican Republic ▪ Slaves in Brazil ▪ America and Africa ▪ Israel, the Palestinians, Lebanon, Germany It can be obtained at: Carl-Auer in EuropeFootprint Books in Australia Zeig Tucker in the USA |
